The Association V.A.I. (Italian Assistance Volunteers) operating in Belgium since 1998 in order to continue his work for over 20 years by Italian red; but while emerging as aid Crose in hospital, for years has significantly expanded its intervention: you use the countrymen who fail to pay medical bills: water, electricity, school fees and lately, the GO is solicited for parcels victuals.
First of all it should be noted that the voluntary scheme is entirely and GO despite not receiving funds from 2011-2013, during the three-year period, no institution is able to provide aid for 30000 € bringing aid to 60 families in Brussels.
From 2013 initiated the project "meet: for the pleasure of being together, to chat and get to know us": dedicated to elderly and lonely people.
A week from Tuesday 15 December will take place on one of our other appointments and
the Patronato ITAL Brussels UIL generously offers the availability of own premises for this meeting.
It will be a work in progress project, namely you will outline the way, listening to the needs, desires and suggestions of the participants which will become leading actors of the meetings.
A project devoted mainly to older people but open to anyone who wants to build something together with a new group of friends.
The approach of the Christmas holidays will allow us to know each other, drinking tea while enjoying together the first panettone and hoping a Merry Christmas.
Active volunteers V.A.I. will be present but also expect you all to make sure people who will intervene will have around them many friends.
